2017 Revolutions and Goals


Year 2017 comes, this time I list out my goals here as a reminder for me throughout this year. Yeah, I want to explore and learn more new things!
I will divide and list out my goals in different catogeries.
Well, the first thing that I realize is —— my English is getting worse, comparing to the MPI blog posts. _ I forget my vocabulary and have to use translator to get the words. I look back the posts I wrote when I studied at MPI. I don't know why I have such kind of embarrassment when looking back these posts. LOL. I recall back these memories studying at MPI, such precious and memorable. Luckily, I still keep the papers given.Oh my goodness!!! I need to recall what I have learnt back, not only the pronunciations, grammar and writing skills, but also the core values in life that we get from reading the articles.

Thanks God, now I can find back all these notes and articles. These are quite useful!! I have to read back all these things to find the "mood" or "feeling" back.

These are two of the rules to break through from the articles from RULE TO BREAK book:

PICK YOURSELF UP AS NO ONE ELSE WILL DO IT FOR YOU.
Don't sit around waiting for someone else to make it all right, or feeling that you are hard done by if you don't get support, or wishing your friend would give you a bit more help, or wondering why everyone is letting you down. If you don't get back on your feet, the only one letting you down is you. It is tough, but it is true. What you have learnt can get back on your feet.

YOU CAN'T CHANGE HABITS UNLESS YOU WANT TO.
Motivation is a very personal thing. The point is that once you find our own motivation you will by definition want to act on it, whether it happens. So make a New Year's resolution every year! 

Yup, we should let bygones by bygones and draw a line under the past. Let's us make a fresh start. 

For my further studies, I still don't know what course should I choose for my coming degree course. I am wondering, what is my interest? I don't have a clue, because I am too random. I only know I prefer to the medic course instead of engineering course, as my physics is too poor and totally don't have the confident to take the physics needed course. The A-level result will come out next week. I feel panic when I start to think about the result. What I want is not the best, just the ordinary one, just can meet the minimum requirement to continue my study. I am on edge, worried sick. All I can do now is pray to God for leading and comforting.
For Japanese Language, I have to breakthrough my condition now. This is because I still keep learning the hiragana and katakana, some vocab and singing the anime songs. I need to step forward at the moment. I have to learn and discover more vocab instead of keep learning same words. Grammar part is the worst part for me because I even don't know how to use the vocabulary I have learnt to make a sentence, as I only know some simple sentences. At once,I learn myself with the help of the notes and online videos and website. What I recommend is the Japanese101 and the Minna no Nihongo textbook. My accent target is achieve the N5 standard , then higher.

Next, I have to decide my blogger directions. I get lots of motivation from my friend, Judith. Now I have to decide my future, I wish I have a hobby (or hobbies) instead of my work. Hobby can help us to relax ourselves because hobby is the thing that we like to do. Don't worry, you won't feel bored. I will practice myself to update my blog weekly like before, with different labels and themes. Those themes include the weekly diary, Japanese Language learning, anime reviews, novels or articles reviews, drawing, Photoshop design, travelling, food hunting and etc. I will also try to write blog in English, Chinese, or both. (My Japanese Language standards haven't reached the level that can write diary LOL!!!)
Now I have many posts that I have to write: remaining Taiwan trip posts, food hunting post and so on. I have to treat my PROCRASTINATION, seriuosly. Yup I admit that I have serious procrastination "diseases". This is troublesome as you can't focus on what you want to do and waste time. If not, I will feel that you are back to square one. Time is gold. Take action quickly for what do you want to do, Shirley!!!!!! Surmount procrastination!!!!!
I bought a journal from Taobao. I love the journal when seeing many professional people design and decorate their journals!! It is so awesome and beautiful. Writing journal help us to arrange our daily, weekly and also monthly routine systematically. You can decorate your journal with colourful washi tapes, varicoloured pens and drawings, and also cute stickers and sticky notes!!! I take this challenge too to do my planning in my daily life.

I gain weight after studying the A-level then come back to my hometown. QAQ So sad!!! (Mum: Don't worry lah, you will lose weight when you are stressed and studying. Now you are totally relaxed.) My target is 5 kg. I have to control my food consuming. Since I do not exercise daily, so have to go to exercise (walking etc.). The most difficult part is the healthy lifestyle, now I sleep late and wake up late. Oops stop this!!! SLEEP EARLY, WAKE UP EARLY PLEASE.
I usually read the Chinese articles in WeiXin and Facebook, mostly are motivational articles and stories.Now what I have to do is find a website that can read the English articles.
I want to share an article posted in the WeiXin here. It is especially for the university students, try to be a better person by taking these challenges in your university life. It is written in Chinese but I will try my best to translate it into English. I have to state the original author in Chinese first.

  1. 专业不喜欢就转,转不了就学好它。先解决生存,再谈理想。
    Transfer your course if you don't like. If can't, learn it. Survive first, and then talk about your dream.
  2. 哪怕再忙,不要放弃自己的爱好。不为娱人,只为娱己。其实不必担心坚持的问题,因为这是发自内心的喜欢。而且也可以充当生活的调味剂和精神力量。                            No matter how busy, don't give up your hobby.(ies) Having hobby is for entertaining ourselves, don't worry about to maintain it, because you are doing what you like. Hobby can be our life balanced and spiritual strength.
  3.  试着不依赖别人,自己会完成一些事。锻炼独立,磨练心性。也许会觉得孤独,但只有这样才是真正的成长。
    Try not to depend on others and do something yourself to train to be independent and calm when facing problems. You will feel lonely or solitary, but this is truly growth.
  4.  记得兼顾健康,千万别高估身体的承受能力。坚持运动,早睡早起,改善饮食。           Take care of yourself and don't overestimate your body ability. Exercise regularly, sleep early, and improve your diet.
  5.  勇敢谈一场恋爱。来一场不以结婚为目的的恋爱。不管结局如何,至少你的青春是真真切切,有温度的存在。                                                                                                          Dare to have a date. Don't too care about the ending, at this time your youth is true and existed.
  6. 毕业前去一次旅行。读万卷书,不如行万里路。Go for a trip before you graduated. There is something you cannot learn from textbooks.
  7. 尽量多陪家人,别老是说等着以后再说。                                                                Accompany with your family as much as possible, don't keep saying later. 

Here is the summary of my year 2017 goals:
  • Choose my degree course cautiously after the result comes out.
  • After applying the desired course, start to plan the hostel rental.
  • Don't keep procrastinating in anything.
  • Practice to update blog weekly in English, Chinese or both.
  • Learn new Photoshop skills. 
  • Read more novels and articles, and then write the reviews monthly.
  • Learn to do planning using journal.
  • Lose 5 kg weight.
  • Learn Japanese Language with target N5 standard.
  • Recall back the English Language skills learnt before.
  • Learn to be grateful and learn from mistakes.
  • Learn more God's words and built up confident.
  • Learn to be lean more on God as He has plan on us.
  • Take some time to do drawing. =w=
  • Watch more animes and write reviews, and also listen to more anime songs.
  • Write one travelling trip.
  • Write more than five food-hunting posts.
  • Learn to explore the surrounding more.
  • Sleep earlier and wake up earlier. 
Once you have decided to bite the bullet, just put your heart and soul into what you want to achieve. Take a step, accept the challenge, make a change, improve youserlf, you will see your effort bear fruit.
